This is the most bizarre story you’ll see today.

On Monday, the Browns announced they had signed undrafted rookie running back L.J. Scott from Michigan State.

It was an awesome moment for Scott, who took to Twitter to share his excitement for joining the upstart Browns:

Two days later, he decided he no longer wanted to play football anymore and promptly retired from the game.

Four years at Michigan State — Scott racked up 2,855 total yards and finished as the program’s ninth all-time leading rusher. Unfortunately, due to a nagging injury, he appeared in just five games during his senior season.
