After 11 season in the NFL, Darrelle Revis is calling it quits.
The four-time All-Pro and 7-time Pro Bowler announced his retirement on Instagram Wednesday morning.
Revis earned the nickname ‘Revis Island’ for his ability in one-on-one coverage, allowing teams he played for to leave him on an “island” without safety help, allowing the opposite side of the field to be bolstered.
The corner spent 2007-12, 2015-16 with the New York Jets along with make stops in Tampa Bay, New England, and Kansas City for short stints.
Revis finished his career wth 411 tackles and 29 INTs, along with a ring, winning a Super Bowl with the Patriots.
Next stop, Canton.
