After Jalen Ramsey went down the line, picking QBs apart left and right, you knew the league's elite would all have something to say to defend their honor.
Even the quiet Joe Flacco was bound to chirp up at some point.
On Sunday, while prepping for Monday night's matchup with the Colts, Flacco finally offered a response to Ramsey saying he "sucked". In typical Flacco fashion, it was fairly nonchalant.
Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey had a big interview with GQ in which Ramsey set numerous people on fire. One of them was poor Joe Flacco, whose eliteness or lack thereof has been a half-serious NFL talking point for what feels like 30 or 40 years now.
Well, Ramsey placed himself firmly in the “Flacco is not elite” camp by telling GQ that Flacco “sucks.”
“Just being honest about it, [Joe] Flacco sucks,” Ramsey told GQ. “I played him two years in a row. He sucks.”
Flacco was unmoved by Ramsey’s commentary, noting that plenty of other people have also said he sucks.
“I don’t really have much of a comment,” he said Saturday, after the second of the Ravens’ two joint practices with the Indianapolis Colts. “I don’t really care. There’s plenty of people out there saying things. Just add one more to the list. No big deal.”
“I don’t really have much of a comment,” Flacco told the Baltimore Sun. “I don’t really care. There’s plenty of people out there saying things. Just add one more to the list. No big deal.”
He's right, of course. With his easygoing personality, boom-or-bust big arm, and nonsensically good playoff record, Flacco's become a popular target for scorn, especially without many weapons during his decline phase.

Plus, Ramsey's QB doesn't exactly make history every time he steps on the field.
