The Pittsburgh Steelers defense is swiftly becoming a muscle-filled unit once again. With Minkah Fitzpatrick swarming in the secondary and TJ Watt wreaking havoc up front, there’s plenty to like here, even if we still aren’t much more confident in Mason Rudolph than we were when he debuted. With the game in the balance on Sunday evening and the Rams with the ball at midfield down five, Watt stripped QB Jared Goff before his teammate fell on the ball, and Fitzpatrick finished things off, catching a tipped pick a few plays later.
Right place, right time, over and over again. After a disastrous start, Pittsburgh is now 5-4 and on the verge of a playoff berth. This simply isn’t the same team, though. They’ve found an identity.
